Following on the success of the first two years, the organizing Committee set out to enhance yet again the 2016 event.  For instance, the registration venue was moved indoors, to the Athletic Centre at the University of Guelph.
A marketing campaign, using social media, generated more than 400 online registrations by the week preceding the event, and the total number of riders in 2016 increased to 664 from 565 in 2015.
 
More importantly, this fundraising event raised $66,000 exceeding the goal of $60,000!  This remarkable result will help Guelph General Hospital purchase a state-of-the-art ultrasound machine, and make a difference locally and internally through important Rotary projects supported by the 2 Rotary Clubs (Guelph South, Guelph-Trillium) that co-organized the event along with the Foundation of Guelph General Hospital.
 
The date for the next event has already been set - June 25th 2017 - so save the date!  We are so grateful to our Presenting Sponsor, Scotiabank, and the other Gold/Silver/Bronze Sponsors, Friends and Vendors for their support in making the 2016 event the overwhelming success that it was.
