Every team registered for the 2012 "Grate Groan-Up Spelling Bee" will be collecting pledges, and there are prizes for the team members of the two teams that collect the most in the way of pledges. Also, teams that collect more than $500 in pledges are eligible to collect a "Spell-Over" allowing them another chance to spell a word that they may not have spelled properly. Teams that collect more than $1,000 in pledges are eligible for a second "Spell-Over". As a bonus, the 1st team that collects $500 in online pledges is eligible for yet another "Spell-Over"!
While we have about a dozen teams confirmed verbally to date, teams only get added to the CanadaHelps list when we receive their registration forms. Congratulations to the Bishop Macdonell Catholic High School team for being first!
