World Interact Week is celebrated every year during the week of 5 November to commemorate the founding of the first Interact club in 1962.  Interact clubs bring together young people ages 12-18 to develop leadership skills while discovering the power of Service Above Self.

Interact clubs are sponsored by individual Rotary clubs, which provide support and guidance, but they are self-governing and self-supporting. Interact clubs organize at least two projects every year: one that helps their school or community and one that promotes international understanding. Rotary club sponsors mentor and guide Interactors as they carry out projects and develop leadership skills.

Rotary International reports that, as of today, there are 342,953 Interactors that belong to the 14,911 Interact clubs in 145 countries.  That is a LOT of future leaders and that number is growing!
The District 7080 website indicates that there are 24 Chartered Interact clubs and 2 non chartered clubs with a membership of over 250 strong, young, energetic and outgoing young adults.

World Interact Week is an excellent opportunity for Interact clubs to publicize, promote, and inform the community about the great work accomplished by its members.
